KC 241/2 A double japanese bootleg, reporting a quite complete performance from the concert of June 24th 1974 at Massey Hall, Toronto, a rare sampler of the K.C. 1974 North American Tour; despite with the excellent cover art-work (frames from the booklet of A Young Person's...) sounds really bad, and even a massive equalization shoudn't rescue it. Maple Leaf and Wild Violin are only two blows, as Crimso usually did in concert. Labels reproduce on each side A the record front cover and on each side B lists the tracks. Matrix number is KC 46241 -1/2/3/4. Red is listed on cover but, obviously doesn't. Probably made at the end of the '80, as any japanese release, this is considered a very rare stuff. |

1991 Recorded live at Richard's Club, Atlanta, GA, June 23, 1973, and the Stanley Warner Theater, Pittsburgh, PA, April 29, 1974. Sound: varies, muddy to very clear. Sound: excellent throughout. Here we have a little bit different version, at least what I've heard, of "Larks' Tongues Part I"" because it has a short group improvisation after that demonic guitar passage as in studio version. Yes, demonic indeed, because it sounds to me, and I hate to say this, but Fripp fucks up in that fast guitar part... well, what the heck, nobody's perfect.
